Pathology AI 101
An introductory class on AI for pathology. It starts with moving around a slide and ends with agents that run the analysis for you. Every lesson has a hands-on part in TissueLab.
Foundations: from pixels to cells
Learn to move around a whole-slide image, find every cell in it, and describe those cells with numbers.
Learning from annotation
Models get better with the right labels. This module is about labelling efficiently, segmenting tissue, and knowing when a result is good enough.
Slide-level and cohort-level models
Scaling up: one label per slide rather than per cell, embeddings from foundation models, and models that see a whole cohort.
Clinical and translational applications
Beyond H&E classification: scoring stains, predicting who responds to therapy, and inferring molecular measurements from morphology.
LLM, Vision Language Model, and Agentic AI
The last four lessons bring language in: models that match images with text, a multimodal assistant that talks about a slide, and agents that plan and run the analysis themselves.
